Even now, using exclusively LNG and not buying Russian gas, we still have one of the cheapest gas prices in Europe We have our own oil and oil refinery, rest we import from Norway. 71% of our electricity are made from renewable energy sources like hydroelectric dams, solar and wind. Rest we import from Nordics We are net food exporter, and we produce our own fertilizers. Not to mention, we produce a lot of high-tech stuff like ultrashort lasers, which we have monopoly on, which ensures our security and trade with western countries. If Europe followed our example, they wouldn't give a shit about Russia too

Based on what I've read I'm not sure any of them have any confirmed kills yet. One guy who has since come back to Finland claimed to have killed people when asked about it in an interview, but the guy this story is sourced from said that as far as he knows it was just bullshit, along with a bunch of other stuff he told the journalist. They've been in some firefights but when you're engaging at range it's very hard to know whether you're hitting anything. >do you expect everything to go as some training course? It's hardly these guys' first rodeo, they've already been through multiple cruise missile strikes that killed dozens of people (Yavoriv, Rivne) and caught plenty of artillery. Obviously enemy fire is something you expect and plan for. The problem is when you wind up exposed and with your life in danger because someone else didn't do their job right. And obviously fuck-ups will inevitably sometimes happen, the issue is whether enough is being done to prevent them. It's pretty clear that initially the Ukrainians got way more volunteers than they expected and I do kind of get the impression that they didn't have much of a plan for what to do with almost any of them. The processes seem to have gotten better since then but it still sounds kinda messy.
