but as a user who has reported hundreds of women I've accidentally swiped who turned out to be men and reported the odd person who I saw whilst swiping who was obviously a fucking man I can immediately see how its going to stop me from seeing traps.

It's not immediately obvious that this update is going to let you effectively filter OUT trannies and push them to their containment zone
They won't do this for race because of the implications and when people work out how many people are using race filters and which races are getting filtered.
If you selected indian male you'd be filtered by virtually every woman so you'd only be able to see some absolute beasts or a few bots. Then if your white friend next to you swipes he will see all of the women so the indian will be able to see that those women (including indian women) have filtered out indian men.
