Homeschooled kids are weird, and parents don’t always make good teachers. Doesn’t mean you should send them to the public school but if you’re going to do it you need to make sure the kid gets adequate socializing.

There are all kinds of programs for homeschooled children to socialize with one another and what have you.
And if the parents aren’t the best teachers or are retarded and somehow have money, a hired tutor is second best.

Most "socialization" in the modern world is just being a pawn for a bigger dog, 90% of people are not benefited by the sort of "socialization" that schools provide. If your kid is chad or stacy and has natural charisma/leadership abilities by age 8 then the socialization of a school might be best for them, but for the majority of others, they will have happier/longer/more successful lives as weirdos rather than shuffling parodies of chad or stacy trying to "fit in"

asocial doesn't sound so bad when you realize most socialization today is absolutely retarded. but really, it's not that hard to socialize your kid when homeschooling them. if you have two parents, more then 1 child, and at least 1 or two other families to get together with, that is fine.

There are no honest, generalized arguments against homeschooling.
The weird/socializing argument is pure cope, merely leveraging that a tiny fraction of homeschooling parents are attracted to the idea because it enables whatever weird form of munchausen by proxy the mother is suffering from.
Nearly all the other arguments are lefty-values only. For example, homeschooling will fuck over our teachers, and we need them and their grooming! Obviously bullshit, public school teachers are almost completely worthless as a group. Another common argument revolves around equity - this will result in racially segregated schooling, where rich/white/middle class families are no longer footing a bill for poor impoverished black families and that's not fair. No one outside of welfare queens gives a shit about equity when it comes to their children. Especially given the mass failure and waste of the DOE.
The real problem for the left is that homeschooling is a conduit out of their indoctrination, and allows for reverence of one's parents instead of borderline retarded 20 somethings fresh out of undergrad. Homeschooling is a huge problem for them,as it removes people from their sphere. And when you are outside that sphere, it's much easier to see how retarded it is.

Liberals hate it because mom has to stay at home to teach. The idea some housewife can do what "essential" teachers can do, as an amateur and in their pajamas, is the antithesis to modernity's hyper fixation on "experts." Liberals also hate that it lets you actually control your child's surroundings like having them grow up in a religious environment without being stuck with the Catholic schools.
Boomer-like dads might hate it because there's no chance at feeding your kid roids against his will to get him into football, which leads to him getting injured then working in a post office for the rest of his life.
