According to Iranian state television, Sistan-Baluchistan Police Chief Ahmed Tahiri reported that while he was driving on the Iranshahr-Delgan road, the vehicle of Major Abbas Rah Encam was opened with long-barreled weapons by unidentified persons last night.
Noting that the Iranian major lost his life and his wife, who was in the vehicle, was injured in the attack, Tahiri said that special teams started the hunt for the attackers who fled after the incident.
Tahiri noted that detailed information about the incident will be given later.
