The reason police are like this is because enforcing ordinances and restrictions on law abiding people is easy and safe. Law abiding people don't fight back, they meekly accept their treatment, making it easy to mistreat them.
Police would very quickly stop enforcing lockdowns if some of them died trying to do it. They aren't doing their job to take any actual risks, their entire purpose isn't to protect you, it's to enforce government restrictions and infringements on people who don't fight back.
They will never actually fight crime. Fighting crime requires taking risks, and they won't take risks. There's no risk in giving you a speeding ticket, so that is what cops will spend all their time doing. It's high time people realize that cops are not crime fighters at all. They are a state backed gestapo who ensure the integrity of the corrupt regime ruling the country.
