Overall, a pretty good day, I didn't do a damn thing but watch TV.

Nice. I was watching Conan O'Brien on Comedy Channel on a CRT - Austar (i.e. cable TV) was the one thing mum would pay for to entertain me and my brothers. Saw the news ticker and was like "damn that seems serious". Was probably around 11PM local time when I saw it. Went to bed and next day everyone was talking about it at school.
