I just hope this dude gets help and off whatever the fuck he's on and stays off and this doesn't get worse. He's always been incredibly nice when I've talked to him, I don't think he's a bad guy at all. He's definitely on the Autism spectrum somewhat, but I had no idea he was deep in a pit of drug use.
But holy shit, I'm still so wound up from the thought of having to possibly shoot someone and all of the ensuing chaos that would come from it if the news picked it up for some reason.

Your personal anecdote is the perfect example of what's actually wrong with American society (and the west in general, but especially the USA and its gun violence). It's not a gun issue, it's a drug/mental health/societal issue. Many people all over the west are abusing mental health medications because the world around them has become soulless and depressing. Would be interesting to compare the prescription rates of certain drugs bewteen different heavily armed countries that don't have regular mass shootings. Housing market is fucked where I live and I'd pay 100-200k over what the house was worth. Outside of this incident, these apartments are really nice and so are the people. Kids play outside and everyone is respectful. Even this guy was a great neighbor until all of this unraveled. I initially thought he needed help or was trying to let me know there was a fire or something.
