Works for me. During the pandemic I saved enough to pay the rest of mine (~$20,000) off and have been sitting on it since in case there was partial forgiveness. That frees me up to pay off my car too, so I won't complain. Still not voting for Democrats.

Student debt will never be fully forgiven, ever; that debt has been securitized and is Way too valuable. Wiping it would throw trillions more than its face value of investments into default, not counting the derivatives market. The federal government sells student debt as securitized packages against treasuries and makes a sweet percentage off of it; dangling forgiveness in front of retards with shit degrees as a form of political theatre old as the ages. I’ll be so irritated if they impose an individual income cap for forgiveness. I am above the $150k annual salary threshold because I actually contribute to society and the economy. $250k is pretty standard for law school if you're white (no scholarship). Forgiving $10k is stupid though, they should just forgive the interest and set it at 0 or 1 percent. People who paid off or did not have loans will be pissed about $10k handouts for art school hoes but no one but God's chosen would have a problem with cancelling the interest.
