Well it's also illegal to question the decisions of judges, in their professional capacity. They are akin to an American's "protected class". Politicians too I think. You basically have to treat both like holy cows and only make fun of them for their personal behaviour, not anything they do in an official capacity/decision.
This is because the (American) government deliberately made sure after WWII that Germans would never seek Juries or Precedence (same law for all), and the modern German will hate these concepts, instead choosing a system where judges (who are affiliated with political parties and have political aspirations) decide everything because they are experts. In difficult cases, more judges are brought in. We used to have Juries, but they were deleted a few months before Hitler came to power and surprise surprise never brought back.
