Suddenly you had every news report, every TV talk shows and every progressive journalist talking and talking about the police brutality in the US, the blacks rioting in the street and so on, and it was clear absolutely fucking no one gave a fuck about it, nor the audience nor the media, but it was the "flavor of the month" news in that time, so that's what media would talk about. Same thing with covid in 2020, the war in Ukraine in March/April, and the monkey pox now. They find something to talk about and keep you obsessed for a while, then something new happens and the old topic is forgotten and they start talking about something else, and so on. It's so tiring
