A lot of people wonder why I include Ethanol plants in my spreadsheet and wonder what Ethanol has to do with food.
A byproduct of Ethanol production is Distilled Grains which are used heavily in animal feed. There is currently an Animal Feed shortage continent wide that is so bad that it is causing cattle ranchers to cull their herds because they cannot afford to feed them.
In Alberta Canada there has already been over a million US Dollars worth of fraud and scams related to the dire cattle feed situation there. Farmers are buying feed from anyone, anywhere and are getting scammed because they are desperate.
