Imagine if Britain actually breaks up like, Scotland becomes a country and Northern Ireland joins the Republic
The UK will be left with England and Wales (Welsh separatism has little support).
What are the geopolitical implications?
What will be the new flag?
Will it even be called the United Kingdom? Or just England and Wales?
Will Britain break up?
NI will be a literal war zone, Scotland will rejoin within 10 years after an enormous economic catastrophe (seriously, they didn’t even have an answer for funding corona or inflation recently, just literally said lol idk)
bump
>Scotland becomes a country
Plausible
>Northern Ireland joins the Republic
Unlikely - 70% of NI inhabitants favour the UK union including 45% of catholics
> Scotland will rejoin within 10 years after an enormous economic catastrophe
No.They can get fucked.
Immediately breaking away from England, Scotland flees the North Sea and ends up in Florida.
Ireland also flees, going 1-v-1 with the Ivory Coast because muh colors
its so funny seeing the same people voting remain and then calling for independent scotland
scottish independence would be a turbobrexit, both fuelled by nationalist posturing and economically not making much sense
>Unlikely - 70% of NI inhabitants favour the UK union including 45% of catholics
No they are literally talking about re-joining mainland ireland right now take your head out of your arse
>What will be the new flag?
>Will it even be called the United Kingdom? Or just England and Wales?
The name and flag will remain, I am 100% sure of that
Long term, digital tribalism will result in full devolution for each country, but I wouldn't expect this for another 5-10 years at the very earliest.
But the flag represents England, Scotland and Ireland
With no more Scotland and Ireland, there will be need for a redesign
>they are literally talking about re-joining mainland ireland
> literally talking
> literally
> talking
Kek.Idiot
Who's talking? SF who got 18% of the electorate ie same as the last 20 years.Didnt even gain 1 seat.Fractured unionist vote means nothing you dumb fuck.
if they went by current naming conventions, it would be the kingdom of England, as wales is technically part of the kingdom of England. they could always change it to england and wales though. As others in teh thread have said, scotland would leave then immdeiately have to rejoin due to their lack of an economy.
No blue
common people
get out of here englishman
This will be the only meal available.
Beans on Friday
Beans and sausages on Sundays.
And you'll bloody well love it.
It doesnt matter what it represents. The people of the country would choose whether the flag stays or is changed. And I believe theyd choose to keep it
I think this will be the new flag of the Kingdom of England and Wales
Or this!
>get out of here englishman
I'm Ulsterscot faggot
Protip - common people arent worried retard
Fuck Scotland that's all I'll add
No, it won't.
Fuck memeflaggots
That aside we should leave the UK.
Imagine the state of scotland, wales and NI when they actually have to do shit for themselves instead of leaching off of us.
>English Economic Forum
The Welsh aren't leaving
>that pic
lmao
unlikely
If the UK splits, Scotland and Wales will become the poorest countries in Europe.
>Dont have their own currency
>No standing army
>lacking good national goverments
>0 natural resources owned by them (oil in the north will be claimed by England)
>No goverment agencies of their own (all under oath of HM)
Yeah it'll go well for them
If Northern Ireland ever joins the Republic of Ireland it'll be to form a new country and not the Republic taking over NI and making it part a whole Republic of Ireland. People here who want unification want our kinda of thing like what the UK is and that's the 4 provinces of Ireland with their own provincial governments and capitals kinda like how the UK operates except with provinces instead of nations.
