If Northern Ireland ever joins the Republic of Ireland it'll be to form a new country and not the Republic taking over NI and making it part a whole Republic of Ireland. People here who want unification want our kinda of thing like what the UK is and that's the 4 provinces of Ireland with their own provincial governments and capitals kinda like how the UK operates except with provinces instead of nations.
