The shooter in Texas shot a guard and fought through the police prior to entering the school. Why do people think "more guns" or "more security guards" would've prevented this? "We need better mental health". The majority of these shooters were already in the mental health system and taking antidepressants and antipsychotics. Also less than 5% of all murderers actually have a mental illness. Going after people who have mental illnesses won't actually do anything to lower the homicide rate in America which is about 15,000 a year.
