I stopped to refill my rental car with fuel in the west of France. Here are the current prices. You see, the lowest grade of unleaded, 95 octane, is 1,932€/l. That's pretty cheap, right? No, that's quite wrong. Why? Well, the currency conversion is $1.07 USD to €, first of all. Secondly, there are 3.785 liters in a gallon. What does that mean?
1.932€/l multiplied by 1.07 USD/EUR multiplied by 3.785 l/gal equals $7.825/gal.
It's $7.83 per gallon of gas here. You know what else is different? They don't have those stupid little stickers on every pump of Joe Biden pointing to the price saying "I did that" because the USA president is not in control of gas prices in Europe, or the world nevertheless. A small consortium of oil companies are in control of the prices. That means an even smaller number of powerful people control the prices around the world for how much we pay to transport ourselves and our goods.
The problem is global. The solution is ending our reliance on fossil fuels. It’s time.
Fuck off mutt. Go back to your school shooting shithole.
Henry Flores
You have failed to mention that US is the top oil producer out there, so you know, maybe that's why it's cheaper in the US
Ayden Nguyen
Can't hear you over the clatter of my old diesel running on used engine oil and vegetable oil.
Asher Foster
why are you preaching from your car? I'm already car free I don't even own an air conditioner which is the biggest contributor to "le climate change" I just have bicycle and trains So what is your excuse? >Oh no my gubmint doesn't into trains >Oh no I need my aircon because it's 30C outside You chodes are all the same You keep saying, "We need to do something!" when you're the only ones not doing something no bump, dumb thread by 1pbtid
it's 2,45€ a liter here. and rising ever week. 75% is tax so that retarded pm can eat fancy breakfast
Jackson James
The main reason why gas is so expensive here is due to green taxes. Those green taxes have been put there by politicians (not Joe Biden obviously, but you get the point).
Adam Bailey
>The problem is global. The solution is ending our reliance on fossil fuels. It’s time Ferma la sale cuck à vélo. Va prendre tes transports en commun rempli de négro
Nathan Carter
How much for a litre of 95 neighbor?
Logan Torres
>the USA president is not in control of gas prices in Europe, Oh sweet summer child.
Kevin Evans
Petrol here is 2.29€/l
Stop bitching
Nicholas Gray
I heard Russia sells oil, try sending them a letter
Grayson Adams
>"the solution is ending our reliance on fossil fuels" >germany shuts down it's nuclear program and fires up coal plants kek
Grayson Clark
Why would an American do that?
Parker Lopez
It went down $0.10 today here
Adam Thomas
Can't hear you over the sound of my horse herd and Mongolian throat singing
Logan Jenkins
The solution is nationalizing the companies and subsidizing the fuel, retard.
Isaac Campbell
>the problem is global. No the problem is globalists.
>The solution is ending our reliance on fossil fuels No the solution is dominating fossil fuels.
Carson Morales
Do you want some Joe Biden stickers? You can put them on French gas pumps. >Joe Biden is not in control of gas prices No, but he and Hunter have been in control of the Ukraine for over eight years now. This whole war is their fault for installing a puppet regime to launder money.
Jack Brown
>the USA president is not in control of gas prices in Europe, or the world nevertheless The US President gets to select the president of the World Bank.hhm8x
Alexander Martinez
Also, are you having reading comprehension? He's not complaining about the pirces themselves
Ethan Long
Its the job of the president to protect his country from 'global problems' as you say. You knwo the yellow vests were not only anti-eu but also anti Macron right ?
James Reyes
>the USA president is not in control of gas prices He literally is. >stopped oil extraction in the US >cancelled keystone >taxes on oil >paris accord on climat And more In France it's even worse. 2/3 of the price are taxes and we sleep on our own oil reserves because "muh environment". France is the 10th biggest gas reserve in the world and we have tons of oil, but prospecting is forbidden.
The whole system is flawed >go to work for cash >need cash to get fuel into your shitbox >need the shitbox to get to work What a stupid treadmill, my boss should be made to pay for fuel & my car as well. But then you have some nonsensical boomers telling me "the boss doesn't have to care how you reach the workplace" because of the retarded "I had to, so you must endure it as well" mentality.
Aaron Bennett
This post entirely overlooks the fact that Europe taxes fuel differently, purposefully makes fuel expensive to inhibit personal transport, and generally is a shit continent to live on.
Charles Bell
If the right wing retards here could read you'd be making them really upset
Levi Collins
If you are actually French, why use a memeflag? To make it clearer that you are a shill? That's nice. The govt is very much in charge of gas price here, much more than in the USA. The French state is literally the main shareholder of total. Furthermore, 60% of gas price in France is TAXES. Finally the state can literally tell gas consortiums what to do price-wise.
Eli Rodriguez
>The solution is ending our reliance on fossil fuels. It’s time. cool let me know when i can buy a affordable ev and charge it cheaper than gasoline without the power grid collapsing, which is largely reliant on coal.
Nicholas Mitchell
He's supposedly American
Evan Johnson
And he's actually complaining about US Presidential campaign
Connor Barnes
Whatever you say, coincidence theorist. Enjoy your news-fed talking points
Brayden Turner
Either way, he's a shill.
David Taylor
That he is
Aaron Powell
Also and since uneducated retard like you dont know how the world works... >the solution is ending our reliance on fossil fuels We literally can't. >energy capacity, concentration, easy to transport, stock, use, cheap etc. Oil. >food Oil. >every chemical you use Oil. >your house is made of Oil. >your electronics, phone, computer etc. are made of Oil >your clothes are made of Oil >the roads are made of Oil >etc. is made of Oil The entire human society rely entirely on oil. And basically nothing can change that because oil is the cheapest and more efficient thing we have. Stop using oil would mean undo everything the second Industrial Revolution have achieve.
Now post the price before carbon fuel taxes. In Sweden its like 2/3rds of the price is taxes. The thing with american fuel prices is that they are more or less untaxed over there, but still have prices that are almost like ours.
Zachary Reed
It'd be 2.20 here but the government decided to take 0.17 taxes off of the price. It's still at 1.93 tho...
