World is running out of precious plant resins

Prices are skyrocketing in the mastic, frankincense, myrrh, copal, benzoin, and other aromatic resin markets. Single use tincture of benzoin ampules, hermetically sealed in glass, used to be $0.25 a piece but now it's over $1 each. This is one of the most commonly used medical preparations used in everything from curing skin ailments, drawing out splinters, wound treatment, and surgical prep. And the frankincense and myrrh shortages will lead to certain rituals and rites being more difficult or impossible to observe in several major world religions.

This is a bad sign. The supply of these precious substances has been stable from the time Caesar booted the Jews out of Judea, through world wars, Islamization, and only now is the supply breaking down.

It's a bellwether.

Oh no!

It's a big deal, it's used as temple incense in Hindusim, in Shinto, Judaism, Christianity, even Islam. Probably others. These commodities are usually very stable and don't dramatically quadruple or more in price in less than a year.

If if it's that important then Skydaddy will make more

Nah we'll just get to see what religions are the "right" ones by who manages to secure their supply. I know the Mormons grow some aromatic resin plants in Mexico.

This is what happens when you let jews financialize everything. We have 20 million empty homes in america yet houses cost more than ever because of the kikes. Rest assured some jew is buying up the supply of these products to sell them once the price rises due to him inducing a shortage.

Good time to start counterfeiting incense I guess

Imagine being this much of a fedorafag lmao. "Muh skydaddy" what other shit do you have to regurgitate, kike mouthpiece?

>talks about tinctures and religions
>captcha No Pure
welp

Gee why would anyone call it a skydaddy?

Nah it's the perfect storm, a lot of this stuff comes from Yemen, much of the rest from Syria.

Good luck, it's very difficult to do and has been tried for thousands of years.

He's trying to miss my point, these are stable commodities which don't seem to see massive spikes in demand, or they used to be. Now they're getting harder to find. If Benzoin supplies are strained more it's going to be difficult for hospitals.

I know that which is why its aggravating he takes the chance to act like a bombastic retard. Is this all newfags think this place is?

It's probably a government nanny trying to slide this thread. Shortages of basic medical items will become more common, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

>It's probably a government nanny trying to slide this thread.

Very likely, yes. Just call them out and run them over.

That’s like saying that cloud computing is in the sky; it’s someone’s compute, somewhere… and no, it’s not in the sky. You absolute jogger.

That you terry?

Every military medic in all the different armed forces carries tincture of benzoin, it's what they apply to blisters. Google "hot shot" blister treatment.

>and no, it’s not in the sky.

Hah! Nah, just inspired.

Just did. Quite worrying when such random commodities see price hikes. That's how complete breakdown of supply chains shows its first signs. World is a fuck and we got first row seats in it. :D

These commodities are special, I mean people wouldn't miss Funko Pops except maybe vaguely. But benzoin and myrrh and the rest are very special unique things that can't be substituted.

It's the tip of the iceberg, the frayed end of the rope. It's trouble.

Copal resin for example is still the #1 totally clear optically neutral cement used for cementing lens elements together to make compound elements. It's used by hundreds of optical companies and there's a shortage.

Czeched! Btw this price increase affect only US retail as far as you know or is this same even in some random chink or whatevs online shop?

I know for, at least a few of them, its an artificial shortage:

Or maybe im giving the nogs in charge of the plantations too much credit and they honestly dont realize that not giving the trees time to heal prevents them from producing new seeds.

There is only one US manufacturer of Tincture of Benzoin, it's 3M. Only a handful more around the world. All are in a shortage and jacking prices, because the actual resin is harder to come by.

>generic video made before the crisis actually started
are you a bot?

>before
the video is from 2020 and they even say that the fucking trees are endangered because they are vanishing in the wild. The point I am trying to make is that all is required is setting aside some older trees and letting them heal to start producing new ones.

we're just being gouged
that's what happens when you let degenerates that have been kicked out 109 times back in

Nah they need to propagate new trees in an orderly fashion. They used to, the Israelites planted them and maintained huge groves, when Caesar booted the Jews out eventually he posted a thousand troops to guard the groves. They were cultivated until the Ottoman days, since then it's been iffy, going in small spurts. Khadaffi planted some groves. Not many others. And now there's inferior stuff coming from Indonesia and India, slightly different types of trees producing a similar resin for the recreational incense market but it's not fit for medical or religions use.

Hearty kek. Saved.
