Moral decay from capitalist processes that shifted society away from natural, collective, tribal processes towards individualism which is unnatural for the human race. The american system at many levels, is completely apathetic towards the individual in domains like healthcare, insurance etc. up to the point where you are more like a slave. The individualism this society promotes enables polarity and the othering of groups which leads to intergroup conflict like racist acts and general apathy towards human life. The level of individualism you see in the US is unprecedented in the world and if you want to educate yourself look up research on the differences between collective vs individualistic societies, america is inferior in far too many regards

it happened once then got inserted into the head of every lunatic as a possible idea by a media industry hoping to stoke more tragedies that they can monetize. its all just copycats. if columbine happened at a church or outdoor sporting event, there'd be more shootings at places like that. schools are a choice of the killers because they're run by lazy women that dont lock doors, only have a token security presence if any at all, and no matter how "few" people are shot its always shocking and thus guaranteed to get the shooter the notoriety they want.

I live about two hours north from where this shooting happened in one of the statistically safest parts of the country. Broken people aren't just endemic, it's all of us. They took family and tradition and love, and replaced it with sex and money and degeneracy. How could we not be a bunch of psychopaths?
