for those that have actually read his manifesto, how based was his writings? how close to the truth is he really? from what ive read he has extreme disdain for socialism of all stripes, i also think the part about surrogate activities is spot on and the root cause of societal and infrastructural decadence. however i don't think he touched enough on the human factor of the industrialism itself, i remember even adam smith said that division of labor makes people retarded and less than humans compared to its previous systems, even though it gives better quality of production, it destroys dignity and skill the workers used to have from stuff they made from their own hands. now people do woodworking as hobbies not because they need it to survive but because it's a surrogate activity to mask the soulless void the lack of existential struggle and honing skills left us.

you're right, the surrogate stuff is spot on
he went on a tangent with his dislike for anything remotely "socialist" but i'm starting to think he's right there, too
maby he's right about technology but i'm still not ready to accept his position. complete abolishment will lead to a really shitty life because technology does make life much more comfortable. and is still dream about going to the stars and all that futurism shit.
so i hope there's a synthesis possible but maby he's right indeed and it will all lead to our destruction
>and is still dream about going to the stars and all that futurism shit
based, also i agree about comfort, it is nice to be prepared. all the colonizing mars talk is exciting
nicely summarized
Idk dood was a literally tranny or had gender dysmorphia so gay and mentally ill l. I dont care about tina k.
His section on the psychology of modern leftists is the most accurate writing on the topic I have ever found. He nails down their mentality perfectly.
its not even that long of a read and readily available wtf just go read it retard
He’s 100% right except he seems to think we’d be better of returning to som primitive protocivilization which is simply retarded
But his observations on liberalism and e modern psychosis of your average westerner is 100% spot on
His ideas were pretty explosive
He had good points but bombing people is bad and also grubby mutt hands like to pick and choose the weakest and most trivial chud talking points out of it all.
Like so
>complete abolishment will lead to a really shitty life because technology does make life much more comfortable
comfort leads to a shitty life.

>i remember even adam smith said that division of labor makes people retarded and less than humans compared to its previous systems
No, his primitivism is retarded. As Plato said, division of labour is the basis for the polis, and thus communities and ultimately the nation. All that American yeoman farmer shit is fantasy, the American nation was built on specialized industries like printing, iron mining, and ultimately gunsmithing. Marx was right about one thing and it's that the end of the world would be brought about by everyone becoming undifferentiated specialized wageslaves. Sadly the end of the world won't look like communism, so it's our duty to avoid it.
comfort is not fulfilment or happiness though. An animal in a zoo has all the comfort in the world, no predators, no shortage of food or water or mates.
The main reason I see for people wanting to visit the stars is an escape plan for when we fuck up this planet, instead of just taking steps to stop fucking up the planet.
Life expectancy would drop like a stone sure, but what actually is the point of living beyond 60/70 years other than fear of death? Do people achieve more now they have that extra 20 years compared to people in the past? I don't think so - seems to all be wasted on screentime.
I feel most complete and calm when I'm fishing, or camping, or finishing a project with the lads.
Liberal doesn’t mean leftist you newfag fuck

I think the core of his argument is solid, but fucking bombing people is a terrible strategy as well as obviously sicko psychotic shit. Also, THERE IS NO WAY TO GO BACKWARDS. He was right about many things, such as the issues of industrialization and modernization, but the idea that society could return to a previous mode of production is ridiculous. Read Nick Land instead.
We will know the true cost of technology in our lifetime and we will be sorry. For VR goggles we will pay by cleaning our water 4x more for 1000 years. For getting to our unnecessary jobs 5 minutes faster we will pay with elevated lead concentrations in our bones and brain matter.
Why would it be better if we were all cavemen just because a few people like him are butthurt about the world? Since the first subhuman negroids that are our ancestors walked the earth there has been nothing but suffering. If he is saying it must be done to survive as a species I would understand to a point but he is not. He is basically butthurt that the world sucks.
Dividing labor doesn't exclude farmers. Wage Slavery was one of the chief complaints from the workers of the South when they complained about the culture in the North.
He uses the term leftist like 500 times in his manifesto, he uses the word liberal 0 times. Still, his entire gripe with leftists was that they were distracted from the dangers of technology when they were the ones who were supposed to revolt against it. So how can you say he's 100% right if you opt out of the only point that mattered, the central point of the whole document. Huh?
Getting rid of technology itself is probably not the key. There's too much of it to just eliminate anyway. What might be possible to eliminate is fast and massive transport. Instant communication possibly as well, but it's really the transport of massive quantities of goods and people that has fucked up the planet by making it seem completely unreasonable to do things locally and therefore destroying the need for developing skills locally.
The actual numbers are 197 to 3. I should tell you to read more.
>Dividing labor doesn't exclude farmers.
It doesn't. Everybody being farmers and shitty belt-buckle makers and maoist steelworkers does. As far as I know that's what he wanted.
Dude was incredibly red pilled. Everything he wrote is true.
He is literally the epitome of a sub-human. Utterly and completely worthless to society and actively damaging to it purely due to the immensity of his retardation. The dog should be flayed alive to make a point.
Dunno, man, I kinda like not freezing to death, starving, or slowly and agonizingly dying to polio.
no that's you projecting.
the system murders, maims and destroys peoples brains every single day you don't bat an eye, so you are complacent to it.
no one gives a fuck about the pieces of shit he killed, i spit on them. uncle ted is a god and you're a maggot.
cool me too.
hunt, fish, make a fire, build a cabin.
>polio
a result of over socialization and urbanization
I agree with this because he killed innocent people and achieved nothing by it.
I disagree with this because you are probably a retard and you wanna go to Mars and eat sand.
His "solution" though is literally peter Joseph tier shit except worse and even he himself says it will be violent and shitty. He was right about the future back then but that doesn't mean he has any real solution that makes sense. Besides it is impossible anyway.
It's worth a read. The ideas are explained and even if you get different conclusions, you'll find that it does raise some interesting points of consideration.
Most of what he says it's pretty much spot on, especially with the benefit of hindsight.
Not endorsing his actions, but he genuinely believed they were not only justified but necessary. It's also a testament to effective resistance being one where you hide in plain sight and use the enemies own advantages against itself. He was a clear thinker, if nothing else.
