Former US Secretary of [Deep] State Henry Kissinger suggested at the World Economic Forum in Davos that Ukraine cede territory to Russia in order to stop the war. The 98-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winner also said Monday that the West should not contribute to Russia's defeat. The British newspaper "Daily Mail" first reported on it .
According to Kissinger, Ukraine should start negotiations "before there are turmoil and tensions that are not easy to overcome". He also said: "Ideally, the border will be restored as it once was." Continuing the war beyond this point would no longer be in favor of Ukraine's freedom, but a new war against Russia.
Kissinger warns of further Western intervention in the war. One should not forget Russia's position of power within Europe. In his opening speech at the World Economic Summit in Davos, Zelensky warned against letting Russia get away with the attack on Ukraine.
