Spoilers:
The Riddler is the hero of the piece.
Batman is so passive in this film, He’s just playing catch up while Riddler cleans up Gotham making Batman look like an ineffectual cuck.
They need to drop this “Batman doesn’t kill” trope, it’s not true to the original comic it’s just a relic of 40s 50s panic censorship.
Reeves gets around the stupid custom by making the Riddler the hero, or the protagonist at least.

The movie is pretty great aside from that one line the actress probably insisted on including, and her line delivery after that was shit like the crew knew it was cringe.
Riddler was a 4channer but how could you make a portrayal like that and not reference Any Forums nowadays? That was a bit bad, but if I was the director I wouldn't know how to make Riddler relevant in current year besides making him a channer. What else is there? Tumblr? Tiktok? He already pretty much uses that in the movie. He can't use Facebook otherwise he'd look like a boomer.

Other than that, it's a great movie. Catwoman ended up getting saved by Batman literally everytime. The main mayor black woman is extremely incompetent and even gets shot due to foolishness.

Sigh, since you brought it up, I have to give my two cents. I saw the movie in the theater since I got free tickets, and I don't like capeshit, but I heard it's a detective story and I like those. The movie was mediocre.

Obvious bad stuff

It gave me the impression the ending was supposed to be something else, but for (((some reason))) they had to have the internet anons bad ending.

The best bit was that there was no time wasted on Batman's coming of age story. He doesn't start as a child and we have to watch through 30-60 of Bruce Wayne deciding to become Batman. No, he's Batman already in beginning, although he's still sort of new. Most capeshit movies waste most of the movie introducing the main character, but it's unnecessary. Everyone knows who Batman is.
