I work a 9-5 as a sysadmin and have a side gig doing trade work and running a baking business. I am able to write off almost anything on my taxes, gas, buying eggs and milk, I get an additional 30-40$k a year doing this. I am down to just a car payment, one student loan, and my mortgage and I am 32.

If it becomes commonplace that the wageslaves have a second job, then their first job doesn't need to pay a living wage, further reducing costs. And if you're self-employed they have no responsibilities, they can treat you worse than the regular employees, give you worse contracts, etc. - all under the guise of you being such a free-spirited, liberated individual.

It’s not that hard. You just save your receipts. I have a binder and organized folder. Another common one is real estate. People get their real estate license but work a 9-5. Even if you don’t have a 2nd job and are a home owner; I would suggest getting proficient in DIY. Sweat equity is the easiest way to improve the value of your home and nothing in it is too complicated just a pain in the ass and physically demanding hard work.

What else would I be doing? Shit posting? Playing video games. These things are for children and people who enjoy rotting their brains

My primary makes 140,000$/year. I get 30-40$k from my side hustle, and write off shitloads of stuff in taxes. I will be retired by 55. Not too common for 32 year olds these days.
