There's good and evil but passionate leftists are on the side of good as well as rightists. The good must be united against the evil or else all us doomed. What then defines evil? In my opinion it is the disregard of human suffering and the destiny of humanity both. Are there such people which excuse themselves for every evil they do? There are a lot, you can find them on top of all the political institutions. They mislead their followers into fighting eachother. Every conflict can see people of good will fighting on both sides. In our country it was obvious for me during protests that some of the police was soncere in their belief that the opposition wants to sell off the country to the West, and the liberal zoomers were sincerely protesting government cruelty and corruption. US have false dichotomy of dems vs reps, who compete only in which side loves Israel the most.
For individual distinction between good and evil I suppose the following criteria: making good only to people similar to you is not enough - spread the good to all the members of the society you are in. When judging someone's actions try to not consider if he's related to you - this is the way nepotistic cliques work, they promote themselves at the expense of others and forgive their members for any crime.
Doing the world your kind of good is changing the world at your will. Do it and you will be saved - change the world as if you're the god creator. Judge the similar to you and those unlike you the same by the same measure. Look for peace with your opponent, unless he is one of those who are evil.
