With the United States distracted by a proxy war in Ukraine, the American Public uninterested in another foreign war, and seemingly complete support from Russia, why isn't China currently invading Taiwan?
War begin with needs. So why u think we need now to do it. U don't know how taiwan important. But in military field. Also this place cant go anyway. Why rushing for it? Win the war means nothing if u don't benefit from it. There would have a war but i guess at least 5 years later. Also after war need sometime to control it. So this would really long time. Also i really don't think US is anyproblem. They will do nothing. Ur government are not stupid.

They’re probably spooked by Ukraine. Can they land enough troops across the strait? Taiwan has a lot more modern of a military than Ukraine.

Biden is far too tough on China. They wouldn't dare do it on his watch.

Xi might want to solidify his rule. They are going to choose the president in September and he wants to stay and prove himself. If he unites china he will be president for life.

initiative for war is up to US
china can just wait and make taiwan submit through economical means
US can make taiwan declare independence which would trigger the war

The way I see it is that either xi doesn't want to fuck up his economy over Taiwan after seeing what happened with Russia, or that the US and China already have an agreement about Taiwan

you didn't read pic related? They only have two windows because of monsoon season and the first window is upon us with no invasion, next chance is October. If not then it can't happen until Spring of 2023.
But these conditions aren't likely to even last into October.
