I think you misunderstand.
I don't *want* you or your people to be commies. As far as I'm concerned, the belief that russians are infested with communism is a bleak one, borderline on doomposting - because if it's truly all commie, then even after the war ends there will be decades of tension from ideology alone.
At the same time, it seems difficult to believe that commie isn't as widespread (which unironically might be effect of russian propaganda) due to how often USSR symbols appear on RU sources/ TV/ media etc.
