"Alma City Superintendent Michael Slobodnik told 13 NEWS on Thursday that was all part of the plan. He said the two men seen running as the tower started to fall were employees of Dennis Best Grading and Demolition, LLC. According to Slobodnik, the demolition was a very calculated process and the structure fell where and how it was supposed to. He said the two men were completing the final steps to bring the old tower down by cutting the support legs with blow torches.
Slobodnik said instead of spending thousands of dollars to have the tower removed, they were actually paid $110.00 for the service."
