I've seen numerous and often pretty thorough Holocaust denial threads here, but have nary seen any mention of Josef Mengele and the supposed experiments that he conducted on prisoners. Wikipedia spins quite a yarn about supposed "crimes against humanity," and also, ironically, that researchers still use some of the data he collected.
Did these events take place? Were prisoners subjected to ungodly medical experiments at a butcher's hands? Be thorough.

Personally I don’t care if the holocaust happened or if what Dr Death did was real. Fuck Jews. Good.
Pretty much none of it is real. In the Doctors Trial after the war, several of the medical witnesses testified in his defense that the only experiments that were carried out by the SS physicians in Auschwitz had legitimate medical purposes.
There's also zero evidence for any of the extremely outrageous witness claims. The witnesses are extremely unreliable as well, especially the most prominent witness, Miklos Nyiszli, who wrote a book called "I Was Dr. Mengele's Assistant". He claimed that the gas chamber was 200 meters long, despite claiming to have worked there for over a year (in reality it was some 30 meters or so).
After he escaped to Argentina, he also tried to defend himself and was reportedly gathering material in his own defense, and friends and family categorically refute the claims he was a sadistic psychopath and none of the his German acquaintances in Argentina believed the lies.
That's a quick rundown.
He did nothing wrong. He was a great scientist. Mutts took three truckloads full of his scientific results in 1945 and happily built on them ever after.

At this point I don't believe Mengele ever conducted any experiments of any value. Nobody in this thread seems to have any idea what they supposedly were or what the results were.
Many of the accusations are likely massively exaggerated. At the same time he has done plenty of well documented experiments and studies that were extremely unethical. He wasn’t an independent psychopathic researcher that came up with crazy ideas of chopping up living bodies but a well educated doctor that had to follow the instructions of higher ups and find ways to improve the medical field, which he did.
Another reason Mengele isn’t discussed very often is the link to ig Farben - wouldn’t want to shine the light on the economical elite that benefitted the most and got away by scapegoating a handful of replacable managers.

All the alleged crimes of Mengele aren't mentioned by anyone till sometimes in the 50s.
His own Jewish nurses denied them.
On particular the more pointless experiments that he is accused of.
We know he did indeed perform the cold recovery experiments as he was ordered by the navy to do so.
(Testing the best way to save someone from hypothermia) and his results of that test are still used to this day.
However for that experiment he specifically used people convicted of serious crimes and that were supposed to receive capital punishment.
The rest of the accusations pushed against him are with 99% surety bollocks.
As none of the Jewish medical staff he had ever accused him of that, they denied it post war.
It all stems from a book in the 50s, full of exaggerations, that made up insane stories about a doctor injecting eye dyes in twins for borderline magical experiments.
So the story of Mengele starts with a grain of truth and gets blown up to ridiculous and mind blowing proportions.
I looked into that shit so deep and there’s absolutely nothing there. It’s total bullshit. Do more research.
