We are now in a situation where we are rapidly running out of energy, food supplies are dwindling, the average american will be in horrific poverty by next year, 2 years at best. Inflation is continuing to soar, energy prices will hit $10/gallon as supply runs dry. Baby formula was just a canary and look how long it took to address it. It still isn't fixed.
The people in charge could fix all this by pumping oil out like crazy domestically, by securing food stores, kicking the chinese off our farmlands, etc. They won't because they are senile old fools. The republicans and GOP should be making a screaming mess about this and catastrophizing as hard as they can. They won't because they don't have the guts or they are so detached they can't see what's coming.
