Me too spainiardbro, was my dads favourite band

They're pretty good. Easy listening type music but the lyrics are all about murder, whores, and drugs

I DONT WANT TO DO YOUR DIRTY WORK

One step up from nigger music

no

Holy based

The backlash against Prog was a jewish orchestrated psy-op against what was the Whitest form of music around at that time. The jewish music press even used to attack it on that basis while promoting punk as an alternative, which was a very jewish scene.

This. I would add King Crimson as well

What the fuck I love prog now. Honestly, source?

Lol, this is a depiction of 'grooming'.

IN THE HALL OF THE CRIMSON KINGGG

I don't like music with vocals.
For me it's either classical

Best song on there

That album has some of the best production ever.
Seriously, everyone involved was an insane perfectionist for that album.

For me, it's Kid Charlemagne

Prog was from germany, punk was from the uk

IN THE COURT* OF THE CRIMSON KING....AHHHHH AHHHH AHHHH

Saw them on their 50th anniversary tour for that album. Best show I ever have been too

don't take me alive is the pinnacle of music--all downhill sonce

Check out Edgar Froese epsilon in Malaysian pale and the other 4 froese / tangerine dream albums from that era, also can, and ash ra temple

In the mornin' you go gunnin' for the man who stole your water
And you fire 'til he is done in but they catch you at the border
And the mourners are all singin' as they drag you by your feet
But the hangman isn't hangin' and they put you on the street
You go back, Jack, do it again, wheel turnin' 'round and 'round
You go back, Jack, do it again
When you know she's no high climber then you find your only friend
In a room with your two-timer, and you're sure you're near the end
Then you love a little wild one and she brings you only sorrow
All the time you know she's smilin' you'll be on your knees tomorrow, yeah
You go back, Jack, do it again, wheel turnin' 'round and 'round
You go back, Jack, do it again
Now you swear and kick and beg us that you're not a gamblin' man
Then you find you're back in Vegas with a handle in your hand
Your black cards can make you money so you hide them when you're able
In the land of milk and honey, you must put them on the table
You go back, Jack, do it again, wheels turnin' 'round and 'round
You go back, Jack, do it again

The Grateful Dead is way better

I like mc5 and soft machine better than king crimson

>youtube.com/watch?v=ngv5Y75DFC8
sounds like a fat guy slowly sitting on a bagpipe

try this
youtu.be/qtyTaE7LvVs?t=830

I own this album on CD and LP.
The liner notes for the CD include a transcript of Becker and Fagen calling the guy who wrote the liner notes for the lp and insulting him.

eh, they never charted anything jntil they cleaned up their act and we're basically a front for a drug gang

>T. 95 iq
Agreed good sir

You are musically illiterate if you compare The Grateful Dead with Steely Dan.

this. As you probably know, its about Owsley.
>Just by chance you crossed the diamond with the pearl
>You turned it on the world
>That's when you turned the world around
and
>Clean this mess up else we'll all end up in jail
>Those test tubes and the scale
>Just get them all out of here
>Is there gas in the car
>Yes, there's gas in the car
>I think the people down the hall
>Know who you are

Royal scanlm is the best. Or pretzel logic

I hate punk, but I love post-punk. Even a rose can grow out of manure.

One reason why I cannot be 100% antisemitic is my respect for Steely Dan.

Dead are good poetry, Dan is good music and production overall

Hahahaha

grateful dead sound engineer was also a highly skilled chemist

Soft machine is as based as it gets really

Kid Charlemagne is about bear, doofus

He made the first homemade, illegal, and had batch of LSD at the same time. LSD was still legal, they busted him for making speed the first time

Yes

Forget led zeppelin and mozart, that shit is for 14 year old girls, you want soft machine, and bach

youtube.com/watch?v=kNpMC4FslNk
this scene always makes me laugh

nope, that was Eric ghost, Eric also did the first blotter, before him it was sugar cubes

LMFAO I have about 6 people I need to send this meme to.

I think pic related might be my fave. Very unfortunate- they were using a de-noise tech in the studio that ended up fucking up the high frequencies, so it is their least good sounding album. However some of the songs, especially doctor Wu, are so good that it overcomes this and is still really great.
Gaucho, two against nature, and royal scam are all gems too. Fuck they were good.

For me, it’s Countdown to Ecstasy.

Please tell me this is bait.

You are correct, but there are/were some exceptionally good Jewish musicians in prog, like the three Shulman brothers of Gentle Giant, Tony Levin, Manfred Mann and of course Geddy Lee. Probably tons of crypto Jews too

he was the genius behind the PA equipment known as 'the wall of sound' which although was stupendous and light years ahead of anything else at the time was just too cumbersome and complicated to use for very long.
