Inflation and high gas prices are forcing a generation of “entitled” younger Americans to learn the pain of not being able to buy things at the store, the head of asset management giant BlackRock said.
“For the first time, this generation is going to go into a store and not be able to get what they want,” BlackRock President Rob Kapito told a conference in Austin, Texas, on Tuesday.

What actually happened was the boomers and the greatest generation decided to invite the world to engage in US Politics and the US Economic System as a way to prevent a future catastrophic war because at the end of the day, the world should be able to exist without killing each other.
There's a lot of history beyond Bretton Woods, but most of it reads along the lines of the US Gave the world a lot of free shit and opportunity and the management of different countries decided it'd be best for them to be a bunch of viscous retards. So now the US is starting to pull back and re-adjust to a new populist doctrine where we do not allow foreigners to participate in our politics, and do not care about wars and famines in foreign countries, and only care about our trading partners who, because they are anchored to the US by trade and security pacts, are the US's bitch.
