Sadly, they managed to undo all that in like a decade.
By the eighties the country was super degenerate and the economy was going down the drain. They kind of fixed that with banking and a construction bubble, then in 2008 it all came crashing down again.
Lots of people are starting to lean further to the right, which is a good sign. But I don't think they'll get anywhere without another civil war.
