For me it came to a point where I felt I was worshiping the constitution like it was god's word. Now I realize not everyone should have the right to buy a weapon, ammunition, and tactical knives or hunting gear. There's so many idiots out there without training. That's just cult thinking. You think libertarianism is the end all be all of society. I used to feel that way but now I disagree. Just living life made me realize that. For example i realize every single traffic stop is randomized. If the officer thinks you're suspiscious for whatever reason, he's going to find any reason to pull you over. There's no way you can drive perfectly and never get pulled over. It has nothing to do with your driving. Libertarianism wouldn't change that.

I remember being an idealist. Unfortunately the libertarian ideal government is incompatible with reality because any politicians that doesn't share that belief(most of them) are going to enforce their own control until all their enemies are ousted from the government.
