And since the term "UFO" implies that the craft is *FLYING*, (as in, using aerodynamics to achieve lift) it may be an incorrect classification, especially since these "Phenomenon" seem to exhibit some method of propulsion/lift generation that doesn't rely on aerodynamic principles.

Therefore, Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon is a much more technically accurate term.

every single one of these sightings by US navy pilots has occurred during FLEX (fleet experimentation exercise). flex is a bi-annual training exercise the navy undertakes, where new and emerging technologies and platforms are tested against a carrier fleet in real world conditions. these are quite often black projects.
none of the ships crews or personnel are aware of what is being tested, often even the commander isn't privy.
