This line of thinking is pretty common in Russia, I take these kind of peoples opinions with a grain of salt. Literally half of the world is on Russia's side, China, India, Central Asia, Iran, Syria, Cuba and a handful of African Nations so to say Russia is in total isolation as that guy says is just factually wrong. Also to pretend that a mob of peasants is the same as an actual military is just silly as well. The stuff he says about moral and willpower winning wars is absolutely true, but the Ukrainians aren't the Taliban, they're regular people who probably don't really care who is in charge as long as the war ends that are being drafted into the meat grinder.

Ukraine is a fictional country. He said Kiev and that's effectively all the construct of Ukraine is and ever has been, that's why there was a separatist movement in the first place.

The war has only been going for 3 months. In a couple of years when half of the Ukraine is in Russia and what's left is a puppet state on the same level as Belarus you'll feel really silly for thinking wars settle up in 2 weeks.

And companies from these countries are unwilling to deal with Russia, because they know they will be next if they do so. If they even can, due to their high reliance of western parts, tools and licenses that would all fall under the sanctions now or soon.
Russia is completely isolated and it will only get worse. They will become a second Iran at best, a second North Korea at worst.

The West is isolationist and doesn't care about Ukraine or Russia because it doesn't have any leverage over them. The only thing Russia can do is play the 'good guy' and use Ukraine as a tool to keep the EU in check, which it has done successfully so far.
