It's not that simple. Dunes are arranged in waves but it's because of the wind scattering them, not because the dunes vibrate. You can have something in the shape of waves and yet no vibration is involved. Like hair for instance.

Salt forms into stationary waves (sand dunes) when specific frequencies of vibration are added into the system, and can remain stationary for as long as the frequency is maintained. Sand dunes could be a byproduct of seismic activity, and not necessarily from atmospheric distribution.
