Imagine being a Russian. Your whole life you've been told Russia is a great military power, that even if you lack governmental services and quality of life at least your neighbors and NATO fear your mighty armies. You've also been taught an imperialistic, dismissive attitude about Ukrainians, how they are inferior peasant "hohols". Both of these beliefs were dismantled simultaneously during this war.
