it’s very common in the US for males and females to have experimented with weed in their teenage/high school years and almost everybody on this country has had some sort of experience with marijuana by mid 20s
It’s only legal for medical use in some states but the trend is moving toward full legalization. the medical cards you need are a sham procedure and are just a thinly veiled workaround so regular people can legally smoke/buy weed so long as you can pay the state and put yourself on a state (not federal) registry

when I was stationed in South Korea it was almost unheard of and I’m pretty sure certain people would call the police on you just for asking about it

Fuck off ours situation is interesting. We can smoke but we cannot own. That means if you smoke 20g before police brute force your door - you're clean. If not - 5 years in jail. Also we can grow weed, but if you somehow broke your plant - its gonna become a weed, until then - a normal plant. You can grow around 19 of those. Also we have a fucking pirate law, if you steal drugs from someone he can sue your ass for 5 years and then go to jail himself for owning it in the first place lol.

In Alaska weed has always been legal, it's complicated, but not sold in stores. When they sold it in stores you can get a joint for $5.00 that just annihilates you. Sounds dumb but I've noticed the same people that switched to weed that are still street people but look healthier if that makes sense.
It is completely legal here. Anyone over the age of 21 can walk into a dispensary like a store and buy weed. Not even just for medicinal. It’s recreational like buying booze.

Weed is illegal, but if your caught with 5 grams or less in your pocket you don't go to jail, just a fine. Same with growing, if you are found with less than 5 bushes at home, it's a fine, not jail. If you sell weed and you are found with the money you received for the weed, you will be put in jail for 7 years. If you don't sell weed, but they find, say, a 1kg bag in your house, you can get from zero to two years in prison. In general, the laws to weed are not so strict here as they are to synthetics.

that Matanuska Thunderfuck man. i'll always remember when i was at a salmon cannery for a month...we all wanted to get stoned so bad because the job sucked so much. finally on like the last day one of the cool mechanics said "hey come on my buddy's boat with us real quick" and we smoked a few one hitters of local Alaska weed from the Matanuska valley. i swear to God i was hallucinating...even after I got off the boat I still felt like i was walking on water.

that makes sense. i am a decriminalization activist in my conservative state but i would support something like that. reducing fines for personal possession to something like a traffic ticket, which doesn't fuck up your life by making you a felon. but punishing dealers. it would at least be a step up from what we have now (they will literally send a swat team on suspected dealers)

In Saints-Petersburg everyone smokes, can confirm. In other regions - 50/50. Close to Kazakhstan and Caucassus - a lot. In others - not so much. I just plant my own shit cause 1g costs around 15$ and i dont know who is rich enough for this.

legal weed is decent but overpriced, heavy smokers still go to their neighborhood dealer
growing your own is legal, but limited to 4 plants, and a bunch of other rules
the cops dont seem to bother with busting growers anymore, but you will get a hefty fine for smoking while driving

Not by any stretch of the imagination. Once registered as a (suspected) drug offender, child protective services are notified, and will of course try their very best to take your kids, and may even go to such lengths as to strongly encourage you to get sterilized.

It's that harsh in Norway? All drugs including weed are treated harshly here, but you can smell hashish in literally every immigrant suburb you go to, just walking around, so no one really cares.
