On the third cycle now, and no char insofar. The toaster cycles are short, so it's kind of like a pulse shaped waveform vs a sinusoidal if you know what I mean. Kinda like cooking on a flame range that lacks fine control... just use a cast iron pan and cut the heat altogether when it gets too hot! Then re-fire it after tossing everything around.

Pleased to inform that the hobo coeurs d'on bleu turned out without any singing, though it was a bit of a delicate procedure to extract them in one piece. Had to use a knife to get under them. Don't worry! I unplugged the toaster first. All in all, I figure these little processed ham and cheese thingies could've benefited from another two cycles... they weren't piping hot after three toaster cycles.
