I always recommend temp agencies.
Finding a job without them is fucking horrible.

temp agencies are great for two kinds of people:

losers who want to go from job to job and get fired for not showing up but milk it as long as possible. they will drift from gig to gig and agency agency until completely blacklisted and/or move and/or become welfare/hobo/drug addict.

and

people who have no experience, no connection, little/no education but are competent and willing to work. young people, neets trying to reform, etc.

you get your foot in the door some place through an agency then show them you are willing to work and eventually one of the places will try to hire you.

This is kind of funny, but i got into a network admin career entirely through being an unemployed customer service agent who happened to work for an "good" company after dot com bust. I've never had to "do" anything, but I know about business relationships, and I know everybody who has business relationships, and so I have a job. You should hate me, because there is really no reason I should be making $200k a year.

an organization, sometimes a private company, sometimes government supported that helps people find jobs, usually temporary, hence the name 'temp agency'. the temp agency pays you a rate and the company pays them for filling the job position. sometimes some organization/government subsidizes the pay. lots of variations exist. some of these jobs are for a day, sometimes weeks/months. if you are competent and show up - some places will hire you full time.

just a great tool to find a job if you have no specialized skills or other ways to get a job.

my brother was mentally disabled due to a rare genetic disorder, he couldn't talk or wipe his own ass. he would hit himself in the head and had to be restrained all day. SSI only gave us $500 monthly
meanwhile chris-chan gets >$1500 monthly from SSDI, because his father at the time was allowed to "donate" his work credit towards his son

You guys (well, oldfags, really) helped me become a better person. I learned a lot from you all and you helped me grow up after I made some dumb, naive mistakes because this place speaks truth.
