You are schizo. Warrantless surveillance under the Patriot Act wasn't used here. It was a bad dossier that weaponized the FISC (which predates the Patriot Act). That abuse is what he is considering major fraud against the US and he probably has a really good case to use such a vague law.
Holy shit I was not aware of that. Yeah that kinda changes stuff entirely. People already have avenues to sue the government when they are wrongly accused of terrorism but yeah this opens another door for legal recourse.
