well the idea is to stop the need for petrol everywhere, like we have now with filling stations encrusting the earth, and use electricity until more efficient renewables are secured
it's really quite simple but i think hydrogen will replace gas in internal combustion engines and maybe even power generation

Its not really simple, that state can barely keep the lights on during the summer, or not be on fire, now take all the cars that use gas off the road and add the entire load of them to the electrical grid.
