Is russian geopolitical strategy really as retarded as it seems to be?
I constantly hear from "strategists" and "analysts" mention that russia needs Belarus, Ukraine and Baltics for "buffer zone" and "operational deepth". Lets ignore hilarious delusion that russia has any claims over that regions and focus on something even more stupid. Okay, but what use they have of that? If NATO was agressive and determined to wage war on russia despite nuclear deterace russia stands no chance anyway no matter how much "operational deepth" they have.
Economic benefits are also minuscule from russia's perspective. Russia took richest and most developed parts of Ukraine in 2014 and turned it into wasteland, every natural resource that Ukraine has russia also has but in larger quantities, not to mention that even if Ukraine had fucking gold mines it would't be enough to offset sanctions.
Did russia really just commited suicide for nothing?
shitstain iq take. >what is nuclear parity/mad policy? >what are cruise missiles or rather what are their capabilities?
Julian Young
Poland will be conquered in one day Just like Turkey. Enjoy! The radiation m
Eli Anderson
Just like Kiev right?
Its not even fun to make fun of your kind when you're that retarded.
Brody Powell
What part of "despite nuclear deterace" you don't understand?
Nolan Wood
>I constantly hear from "strategists" and "analysts" mention that russia needs Belarus, Ukraine and Baltics for "buffer zone" and "operational deepth". The short little manlet in North Korea calls his buffer the 'demilitarized zone". Putin and Kim Jong Un have so much in common.
Lincoln Robinson
nah, i was point out to the fact you seem to misunderstand it.
deterrence can only exist if there is parity. thats stupid simple: if your enemy has an advantage big enough, he can strike you before you can launch your stuff. which means your deterrent is no longer deterring anyone.
the thing with approaching nato borders to moscow is that theres a thing called cruise missiles which have all initially been designed to carry nueks.
their range is limited to around 1000-1500 kms.
now, (most) regular missiles need infrastructure to be launched. infrastructure made of concrete which cannot appear in 24hrs.
>you can assemble the infrastructure needed to launch cruise missiles in a matter of hours >moscow is in range of said cruise missiles if nato enters ukraine
simple as. read a book, nigger
Liam Ortiz
Turkey bought the S-400 but never installed. Erdogan is in the process of letting US defense contractors reverse engineer them so Turkey can build their own surface to air missiles. And Turkey bought those S-400 because we refused to sell them F-35s after we knew Erdogan was going to steal the technology anyway and because Turkish troops over-ran our nuke sites in the North.
Turkey is a wild card and there's no way Russia can get its tanks through the mountains for a land invasion. It would be a sea war only and Russia will end up losing its entire navy because of the vast network of submarine detectors operating out of Sinop and Karamürsel.
those cruise missiles cant reach the sites in siberia
Colton Miller
no you're just a stupid pole (basically a nigger) and can't into understand k bai

>Poland >Judging anyone's war effort or Geostrategy

With advancements of hypersonic tech, the NATO strike systems will be able to destroy Moscow from Ukraine before any retaliation is possible. Real countries don't deal with "we're unlikely to be attacked" they deal with "can they do it". The mere possibility is enough for war. Potential threat = real threat.
This is the strategy.
Nathaniel Long
no, but they can deal a crippling blow like in the case of a victory parade or a duma meeting + they completely bypass all tech that could be used to intercept the nukes
pretty much cuban crisis 2.0
Benjamin Smith
Buffer zone has always been a stupid idea. Land doesnt fight, its all free real estate until you meet people. The russian government is just stupid and has always been stupid, you can judge them by the results. When you tell them how stupid they are they dont have comebacks, they say "its complicated, you dont understand".
Jonathan Sanders
>pretty much cuban crisis 2.0 yeah, technology has advanced, but with the cuban crisis, the missiles could reach only a part of america too and were limited in numbers, so it boils down to being the same >limited destruction, but of high value targets in the initial strike phase >stealthy first strike
Evan Edwards
None of that shit matters, nothing in Russia works and missiles of any sort can be developed for any range. Russia is just fucked in multiple forms simultaneously
Gavin Ward
We're not ones dying so i call it success.
You would be eradicated centuries ago if you were in our place.
Jordan Jackson
>We're not ones dying very questionable with all that sabre rattling
>sabre rattling i can only qualify whats happening as skipping a line to shove ones cock into a meatgrinder
Daniel Reed
Do you know any history of the region you are trying to discuss? Also consider that geo strategy is derived from abilities not from intentions and fantasy. The answer to any of your question such as >why Nato does do this or that Is always because of lack of ability.
Lucas Kelly
this. it goes for every player, and thats why we need a multipolar world to survive in the long run btw
Landon Hill
Nah, Russia will be split in 30 countries and we wont hear from them again
Benjamin Gomez
The special operation to denazify and demilitarize the "ucrain" is just the beginning.
Robert Jenkins
Russia is too weak to do anything. Has 1/2 the population of the USSR and an inverted population pyramid so most of these are 50 year old women. They have a quarter of the youth of the USSR, no lend-lease, they are fucked.
Nathan James
welp, from what i hear, kherson authorities are gearing up to straight up join the russian republic like crimea did
