There are no other solutions. Solar and wind can literally never replace coal and gas power.
To generate power you need two types of power generation, a baseline and a variable. A baseline generates a constant amount of power while the variable can be adjusted to suit demand. You cannot do that with solar and wind as you can't predict it will continually generate and cannot easily scale it up or down. Nuclear power can't be varied quickly either. Classical coal and gas plants can.
Wind and solar are just expensive methods to transfer your money from the government to the wealthy.
