1) Chinese people only care about appearance. Upon discovering that I was a Mandarin speaker, a business called Dumpling World told me to shave for a free meal or don't come back, because I was an eyesore for customers. A chinese beard is supposed to be grey and it is earned from years of experience. You're not allowed to "just grow" one.

Kicking me out of a restaurant for my haircut was the first strike against them.

2) I was on a bus and a Chinese girl sat next to me, she started singing a nursery rhyme to herself. I said to her roughly "Hello little girl, what's your name?" and she screamed like she had just been slapped. She jumped over the seat to the one in front where her parents were. She pulled her mother's hair while yelling "YOU TOLD ME THEY DON'T TALK! YOU SAID THEY DON'T TALK". The parents introduced themselves to me and expressed their humour in the situation. While they were leaving the bus the child said something along the lines of "I won't hurt you because you speak Chinese" and as the bus left the stop the father gave me a salute.

The girl on the bus who said it was okay to hurt people who didn't speak Mandarin. That was my second strike against them.

Mandarin has a shocking accent, it's because their vowel system is defective (that's the technical term for it). The mid vowels eg spanish-sounding E and O don't exist, you replace them with uh+Y and uh+W.

The vowels of Mandarin from an English ear are "uh" and "ah" and nothing else. all other noises turn into consonants. So it's a lot more gutteral and sloshy than it could be. Eg: the word for woman is the sound N followed by a W and Y spoken at the same time, tones be damned here are the tones of chinese:

3) Driving to work one day a Chinese man stopped right in front of me with no breaklights. I was inches from a collision. In the middle of a busy road his woman got out of the vehicle, took a slow walk around it, and kissed him on the cheek. All the while I was yelling they were deaf. She walked slowly across the lanes stopping traffic almost on purpose, then she waved to him from the side of the road. He waved back and then began to accelerate again, thank fuck.

During my routine work there are many Chinese people who spit on the ground in front of me. I consider this a slip hazard and a biological risk. This occurs around the region of South Hobart and I implore anyone who is from there to verbalise their misgivings towards Chinese bad habits.

Every singular chinese person I've ever met were nothing but friendly, respectful and nice. And by this I mean, as long as I meet them one at a time, in large groups they become much more guarded and less friendly, like they have to impress those around them by acting reserved or aloof. That said, all the chinese people I've met weren't from mainland china or secretly hated the ccp. I can't stand the ccp and wish it imploded already, it's starting to harm my poor country. I think chinese people are fine, all the issues with them seem to come from cultural issues (the dog thing, the cheating you is your own fault thing, you should always take advantage of people mentality, status obsession, etc).
