How exactly do we kill these things? They Live made it seem easy but everything I've heard about reptilian humanoids makes them sound nearly invincible. Reminds me of the first episode of the 1997 Berserk OVA where the reigning count turned out to not even be human and when he revealed his true form he was some near-unbeatable serpentine monster. Dragons, vampires, aliens, demons... I've come to the conclusion that they are all one in the same and humans have fought them since their infancy with slaying them being a monumental task.
