Things are not looking good Zelensky bros. I just got back from the eastern front and I didn't see a single BLM bumper sticker anywhere. Not even any Protect Trans Children lawn signs, and this is in a province that hasn't voted red since Gorbachev. I'm just not feeling the same energy for Zelensky that I did back in 2018. On my way back through Mariupol I kept here people saying that they were sick of Zelensky and NATO and they were hoping Putin would bring back jobs to Ukraine. I even heard people call him "Papa Putin" and "Vladimir the Uniter". I'm thinking we're not gonna be able to vote hard enough this time.

It is not a true war of conquest. Such things are not really possible anymore in the 21st century. Even America could not accomplish it, and gave up on Afghanistan. The Russians will try to change the civil structure of Ukraine and then withdraw, not wanting to get stuck in costly guerilla war situation (which is America's goal for this entire conflict).

like the geneva conventions on war crimes werent written by a bunch of female defence ministers and lgbt agiprop types man. they were not written by a bunch of guys who drank onions and ate veggie burgers. they were written by the survivors of a war that saw every imaginable type of weapon employed, that left 100 million dead (minimum) on the battlefields, that saw an entire continent reduced to rubble, 10 of thousands of ships at the bottom of the ocean. a war that spanned 5 continents, and six years. these were our grandfathers, and they had learned the horror, the glory, the depravity, and the honour, that was possible in that grand illusion.
they had thought things through. they had seen what became of "take no prisoners" orders ... that that only hardened the resolve of the defender! they had themselves borne witness to horrible atrocities, and it steeled thier hearts, and filled them with a righteous fury at those who had committed them. one need only look at how the US marines re-paid the Japanese for thier atrocities, or the British in Burma, or the russians in berlin.
these rules about the treatment of the pow's were made .... because they are wise. it is a STRATEGIC mistake to mistreat civilians and pows. it is not only without honour, it is a bad move. It comes as no suprise to me that russian media is playing these murders of pows over and over again.
