I am a part of a "black middle class." Here we do not look like that, we just wear t shirts and shit. we live in Queens and we are Caribbean. The neighborhood use to be Jewish, now it's mostly Jamaican, Trinidadian, etc blacks. I went to private school in Long Island, like many other people in this area of the county. The area got "blockbusted," and the Jews bought it wholesale. Blacks moved in, and it is still affluent.

The rapper "Lil Tecca" basically lived in the same area with the same life as me, just suburban black kid raised by parents who were scared of us getting bullied in a public school too far from the area. Actually the Jewish private schools we went to were not too far from each other. It's kind of annoying that he could buy my bloodline because he same some dumb songs

It's been that way here since maybe the 70s. I saw the media shine a spotlight about 5 years ago and say "this is a neighborhood that never got gentrified yasss" but that's a ridiculous way to put it. They scared the Jews into leaving with tales of black people, then sold the houses at a higher price to black immigrants who gladly bought it. Except for whatever the reason the neighborhood did not deteoriate, and the only non-blacks are poorer here.
