Russian Oil VS Solid State Batteries

One of the main things holding back the electric vehicle revolution is the cost of production and the capacity of batteries. Per mile, it costs less electricity than the cost of gasoline, about 1/3 the cost. But the cost of investment and distance before recharging is an issue.

But now solid state batteries are coming, several companies are now on a path to make them and some cars have now been driven with prototype solid state batteries. This reduces the cost of vehicles and increases the charge capacity multiple fold. This single technology may be the tipping tech that makes oil obsolete for most of its current uses. We'll probably still use oil for other things, but the overall amount and demand will be so low that almost all countries have enough local oil sources to fill the need, and there's still alternatives which can be used.

What's going to happen to countries like Russia, Saud Arabia, etc. when oil, their main source of livelihood gets taken from them?

I can't wait until we crush those Russian vermin. Enact article 5 and turn Moscow to glass.

Some of the biggest automakers in the world heavily invested in battery production facilities. The largest Chinese automaker and VAG both had previously promised to develop and commercialize a solid state battery. 2020 came and passed. 2021 came and passed. Now we're well into 2022 and there is not a peep about solid state batteries aside from some garbage popsci article rehashing basic info with fluff words to pad out their clickbait.

A functional solid state electrolyte is a pipedream

solid state batteries are immune to economies of scale, which is a huge problem for them. it's why Tesla stopped pursuing them.

>solid state battery.
How much of a fire hazard do you want your 6,000 pound iPhone on wheels to be?

I do not believe Tesla ever seriously did anything regarding solid state batteries. They've previously used off the shelf Panasonic 18650 cells, 21700s. The new 4680 cell has dramatically better capacity for both its weight and volume, but its not a huge departure from every other battery out there, and its still literally just a Panasonic battery.

Apart from potentially higher capacity the appeal of a solid state battery is reduced volatility. Dendrites couldn't cross the solid electrolyte and create shorts.

ill give away my secret

Solidstate batteries are more expensive to make than common batteries and always will be. Kill yourself.

A challenger appears

it's one of the shittiest of the alternative technologies for EV batteries (or energy storage in general), and this is the reason the jews and their minions are pushing it so much.

Same for any alternative sources of energy that aren't oil and gas from very specific places, only the most retarded options get shilled everywhere.

Everything related to technologies that could ruin the Cosa Nostra get sabotaged.

What about the grpahene batteries :BOOMER

Toyota produced a prototype vehicle with solid state batteries and drove it on public roads.

Soldi state batteries will have massive economies of scale and probably less costs in the structure too because there's no liquid component and less material needed.

Solid state batteries are small and weight less, and have many fold higher electrical capacity. The guy who invented the lithium ion battery, John B Goodenough, is also working with Tesla to create a glass technology based solid state battery.

Graphene is also solid state and Samsung is making a lot of progress with them.

(reposting in case somebody doesn't know)
Hydrogen has a huge ecosystem around it, dozens of possible sources, another dozens ways to store and use it, ... and this is rarely addressed by anyone (either due to not knowing it or omitting it due to Juju Bongos).

There are many technologies that use graphene but they also seem to be far from being mass produced.

There's nothing magical about battery technology. The very first automobiles 130 years ago used Lead-Acid batteries until they all switched to petrol. All this electric vehicle stuff is a Green Party / Democrat cash grab. They pick winners and losers in industry without regard to which technology is actually the best for the country or the consumer, just the best for enriching their insider friends.

If battery technology was better people would buy the cars without tax subsidies, or being forced by by big daddy Democrat. BUT IT IS NOT BETTER. You know which company DOESN'T make a 100% electric vehicle? TOYOTA. Toyota, the fucking company that makes the Prius hybrid. Toyota said that 100% battery vehicles are a fucking meme, and they will not pretend that they are competitive or superior to petrol powered automobiles in any way. TOYOTA told the US Gov that they will not play politics with car production. They will not make a shit car and pretend it's good for "muh environment".

We have producers of electric and helicopters right now. Hydrogen is is an issue because it is prone to explosion. Solid state batteries are also very safe compared to conventional batteries since their design largely prohibits explosion.

>Hydrogen is is an issue because it is prone to explosion
jump to 6 minutes in to the video

Toyota literally just released their video and spec details on a prototype soldi state battery vehicle.

>and have many fold higher electrical capacity.
How does that make them less of a fire hazard?

And Honda, they outsourced it to GM because the japanese aren't retarded.

Even still, explosion is still an issue. An explosion inside the fuselage of a plane is just not what anyone wants.

Exactly, it never explodes even when store without any safe method (some safer methods can be fire-proof, for example).

Solid state batteries generally, can not explode. since the respective charges are fixed in solid material and can not explode unless there's massive physical damage done to it.

I agree, but only because I want nuclear fucking holocaust.

are you a bot? jump to 6 minutes into the video and stop making shit up

I did go to 6 minutes? What did I miss? Their solution is to install the hydrogen fuel tanks into the fuselage, or completely recreate plane design so the hydrogen tanks are pressed up on the side of the fuselage.

Also, hydrogen still doesn't solve the issue that you need electricity to make it, thus making it less efficient than electric. A solid state battery can provide as much, if not more, energy than hydrogen fuel.

it feels like pouring water through a sieve

Fell free to elaborate.

>prototype
They are jerking off the Demofaggots, to keep them happy. I'm honestly not sure if they are corrupt, or just insane eco-cult members (probably both).

I'm not some oil shill. Everything about an electric car is superior to a petrol car EXCEPT the battery. 100 lbs of fuel vs 2000 lbs of battery. It's just that simple. If they made some sort of ultra-lightweight fast charge battery (or an alien free energy device) electric cars would last 500k miles easy, and cost nearly nothing to fix. People would buy them in droves, and petrol cars would be gone in just a few years. Don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen.

If you were in a small city and lived, worked, shopped, and played in a 20 mile radius then a small electric car might actually make sense, as a SECOND family car. But for 98% of the population they suck balls.

Saudis are massively invested in batteries, they are positioning themselves to remain relevant.

not only is hydrogen superior fuel, its safer, and you keep saying explosion is problem

incredible

No Lover for gas turbine powered electric?😳
