The PM is the brother of the FM and cousin of the President, something like that. They adapted an anti India stance and went pro China and took massive Chinese debts and now they aren't getting slack. I guess China got offended over a recent port deal with India and Sri Lanka and calculated Sri Lanka was too insignificant of a pawn to be used if they were going to allow Indian investment anyway. So now the government went from an anti India stance to a pro India one where they signed a security pact with India as well as started talking about joint civilisational with India and stuff. It was kind of amusing tbqh. First time another South Asian country admitted they were the same civilisation as India.

But still, it's better to have them voted out in the next election than get coup'd.
