Having a children is expensive. Always have been. But wich other sense life has passed 30-35? Yeah sex and drugs,but its repetitive.
Until 90s it was normal couples seeking to marry and have a kid. Because one kid tendency started.
But now? Its not encouraged by the state but the plain opposite. So its the self made prophecy. "We need migrants because locals arent having kids".

That is incorrect, the squared native fertility rate (not immigrant or second generation immigrants) in France is only very slightly lower than 1st and second generation immigrants combined. I believe this is because most second generation immigrants, especially extra european ones, grow up in heavily populated urban areas
