Yes, people are different. It is an oxymoron to say people "are equal". The demand for equality, which means there's some arbitrary line somewhere, where everyone should reach AND stay there, bordelines actual lunacy. Most humans can't even differentiate between real and unreal. As long as these flaws are allowed to fester in the human psyche, the human race will always be at the mercy of lying psychopaths.
I don’t think so, the risks are similar to psychiatry and any other profession with many opportunities for abuse (and those were never properly taken care of), but the mental problems that cause absurd behavior that is impossible to accept are well known (psychopathy, sociopathy, BPD…) and can be objectively diagnosed (it doesn’t mean much for a mass of morons and liars).
