Maybe. A few months ago while trying to sleep, I was compelled to envision magnifying a puddle of water to the atomic level and beyond.
I had realized (from my education in Physical Chemistry) that you cease to see particles at a certain level of hypothetical magnification, because the electrons and subatomic particles are not particles at all, but electromagnetic waves of energy. This came with the realization that ALL matter is energy, and our perception of it is merely consciousness making sense of overlapping energy waves. That the mind creates the brain and not the other way around.
And then I stumble onto this document after reading a Any Forums thread about GATE months later that basically confirms my intuition on this. It was weird.
The holographic principal has nothing to do with everything being fake or a computer program.
It's saying if we do live in an anti-de sitter space there may be an edge of the universe infinitely far away where all possible information for our 3+1 dimensional space time can be stored. If true then any 3d object at any given time is a projection of that information in the same way that we create the illusion of 3d objects by projecting light onto a 2d space.
You would still be real but it may also point to the existence of block time. That could mean your decisions are still yours to make but they are already made and all of time already played out. We just perceive it as a flow of how our brains change through time.
Not fake, but I think we're confusing causality. Energy comes first, then matter. Matter is only possible through consciousness. It is how we organize the Information.
